How to replace the Raritan 87 Ice Maker Condensing Fan Motor

00:43.88: Begin by laying the unit on its side. 00:48.00: Remove the two fan bracket mounting screws. 00:58.00: Next, stand the unit upright and remove the back panel. 01:08.00: Use care when removing the fan motor bracket assembly not to damage the copper tubing or components. 01:19.44: Next, unplug the two electrical spade connectors on the fan motor. 01:29.10: The fan blade is a frictional fit and can be separated by pulling the two components apart. 01:39.00: Remove the two motor mount screws and fastening hardware. 01:52.50: Install the replacement fan motor onto the bracket, using the existing fasteners. 02:11.90: Install the frictional fit fan blade onto the motor shaft. 02:19.80: Reconnect the electrical spade connectors by pressing gently. 02:19.80: Reposition the fan motor blade assembly into its approximate location. 02:35.00: Place the unit on its side and reattach the mounting screws to the bracket. 02:50.00: Verify the blades have proper clearance and spin freely. 02:54.80: Reinstall the back panel and allow the unit to stand upright 24 hours prior to restarting.
