Salt Feed Unit

The Lectra/San and Electroscan do not require a salt feed system for ocean water use as the salinity of the ocean water is sufficient to operate the system as designed. Many toilet installations do require a salt feed system and products such as the Lectra/San will not function properly is there is no salt feed unit in place. Salt feed systems are common on vessels that travel in various types of waters. For example, if your boat’s toilet uses warm water to flush but the occasionally travels in brackish waters, a salt feed unit is necessary.
